DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton volleyball is set to open the home portion of its 2016 schedule Tuesday evening against Miami (Ohio). First serve is set for 7:07 p.m. at Frericks Center. Immediately prior to the match, the newly named Hausfeld Court will be blessed and dedicated.
Hausfeld Court
Following a very generous donation from the Hausfeld family, Dayton volleyball was able to renovate the gym inside Frericks Center and named the playing service Hausfeld Court in memory of Kacie Hausfeld, a player at UD who passed away while on the team. New perma cap seating on wooded bleachers
Added hand rails to bleacher stairs
Paint (painted bleachers, blue stripe around gym, railing, steps)
New VCT flooring on 2nd floor
Removed basketball hoops
New telescopic court side seats on north side of gym
New court side portable seating for Red Scare, Band, fans, etc.
Added acoustical baffles to ceiling above court and on end walls
New P.A. and sound system
New scoreboards and video boards with replay
Updated banners and graphics
