DAYTON - The University of Dayton (2-0) shut out Robert Morris (0-2) on Saturday afternoon at Welcome Stadium. The game ended early due to heavy storms with lightning with 9:37 remaining in the fourth quarter with the Flyers leading 13-0. The two teams waited for one hour and 49 minutes, but with lightning in the vicinity of the stadium expected to last at least another hour, the game was called.
SCORING

Jack Adams punched in a 1-yard touchdown run put the Flyers on the board first early in the second quarter.

William Will kicked a 20-yard field goal on the last play of the first half to put the Flyers up 10-0.

William Will added another field goal, with 9:23 left in the third quarter, this time connecting from 29 yards out, to bring the score to its final of 13-0.

Ryan Skibinski lead the Flyers with 5 receptions for 71 yards.
• Redshirt sophomore QB
Alex Jeske was 16-31 for 221 yards in the air.

Jack Adams lead the rushing attack with 25 carries for 67 yards.
• Freshman
Sean Prophit also contributed to the Flyers ground attack with 11 carries for 34 yards.
• The defense only gave up 62 total yards to the Colonials. They also forced a fumble, had two sacks, and seven tackles for loss.
• Sophomore safety
David Leisring was back at it again with another interception in the game. He now has three total on the season.
• Six players had at four tackles for UD. Linebacker
Jack Crain and Flyer
Chris Hagan had five, while Leisring,
Mike Gray,
Christopher Beaschler and
Nick Surges each had four.
• UD especially brought pressure from the ends. Gray had two sacks, 2.5 TFL and two QB hurries. Surges had 1.5 TFL, 2 QB hurries and forced a fumble.
NOTES
• Dayton has now scored in an NCAA-all-division record 445 straight games.
• UD has won 14 straight against Robert Morris and lead the all-time series 17-2.
• This is the first shutout for the Flyers since a 45-0 win over Valparaiso on October 20, 2012.

• The Flyers hit the road for the first of a two-game road trip next week. They will travel to Duquesne Saturday, September 17, with kickoff slated for noon.
