EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The University of Dayton volleyball team wrapped up a 3-0 weekend at Evansville's Dunn Hospitality Tournament Saturday evening with a sweep (25-19, 25-18, 25-13) of Austin Peay. The Flyers' Jessica Sloan was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 5.11 kills/set and 2.22 digs/set.
The win improves Dayton's record to 10-0 for the season, equaling the program's best start since 2009. Austin Peay falls to an even 5-5 overall.
STATS OF THE MATCH
• Sloan led the Flyers for the third-consecutive match with 15 kills to go with four digs and four blocks. Sophomore Kendyll Brown led the UD block with six.
• Also with double-digit kills was junior Amber Erhahon (10) and sophomore Lauren Bruns (10). Bruns posted a .588 hitting percentage and recorded four blocks.
• Junior Jane Emmenecker set a match-high 40 assists and sophomore Margo Wolf passed a match-high 21 digs.

• Set One: It was 3-3 early in set one when Dayton used a 5-1 run to jump out in front by four, 8-4. The Flyer lead was pushed to six, 14-8, following a kill from Brown and it was six again at 19-13 when Bruns laid down a kill. Erhahon put an exclamation point on set one when her kill ended the frame with Dayton on top, 25-19.
• Set Two: Austin Peay struck first in set two, taking a quick 5-1 lead over Dayton. The Flyers rallied to knot the frame at 6-6 and the two squads traded points through a 15-all tie. Back-to-back 5-1 runs at the end of the set from UD gave the Flyers a 25-18 win and a 2-0 match lead.
• Set Three: After intermission, Dayton stormed out to a 6-1 advantage on the strength of consecutive assisted blocks from Erhahon and Sloan. A kill from Sloan capped a 3-0 Dayton spurt and gave the Flyers a seven-point lead at 14-7. UD was ahead eight at 20-12 and the Flyers went on to claim the set, 25-13, and the match, 3-0.
