About Dayton
Dayton (13-1) suffered its first loss of the season this past Friday against Loyola Marymount but bounced back with consecutive sweeps on Saturday to close out the Flyer Classic. The Flyers continue to receive votes in the AVCA DI Coaches' Poll and are effectively ranked 29th nationally. UD is led by three-time A-10 Player of the Week junior
Amber Erhahon who hits at .478 (1st A-10) and averages 1.00 blocks/set (7th A-10). Junior
Jessica Sloan is the team's kills leader with 3.96 kills/set (3rd A-10) and sophomore
Margo Wolf passes a team-best 5.40 digs/set (2nd A-10).
Scouting George Washington
George Washington (6-7) is currently suffering through a three-match losing streak after dropping all three games this past weekend at its home tournament, the GW Invitational. The Flyers and Colonials have one common opponent heading into Friday's match in the Northwestern Wildcats - GW lost 3-0, UD won 3-2. George Washington is led by Chidima Osuchukwu with a .358 hitting percentage (5th A-10), 3.20 kills/set (9th A-10) and 1.24 blocks/set (3rd A-10).
Series Stuff
In a series that dates back to 1995, Dayton leads George Washington 31-11. The two met three times during the 2015 season with the Flyers coming out on top in all three meetings, including a 3-2 victory in the semifinals of the 2015 Atlantic 10 Championship hosted by the Colonials in D.C.

Dayton hosted the Flyer Classic this past weekend, closing out play with back-to-back sweeps over Youngstown State and Southern Illinois on Saturday. In the weekend finalé, junior
Jessica Sloan led four Flyers in double-digit kills with a match-high 13 while also passing 11 digs for the double-double. Also with a double-double for UD was junior
Jane Emmenecker who set 40 assists and got under 10 digs. As a team, Dayton recorded 51 kills to Southern Illinois' 40.
13th to 1,000
With two wins at the 2014 Bowling Green Hampton Inn Invitational, Dayton surpassed the 1,000-win mark as a program and is just the 13th NCAA DI team to attain that level of success. The Flyers currently rank 13th all-time in the Division I record book with an overall program tally of 1,068-564 (.654) over 47 seasons (1970).

Amber Erhahon has a very efficient swing and currently leads all of DI NCAA with a .478 hitting percentage this season. For her career, Erhahon's .410 hitting percentage (647-137-1243) ranks number one all-time in the Flyers' record book and ranks third nationally among active career leaders.

Jane Emmenecker currently ranks in fifth place all-time among Dayton's setters with 3,024 career assists. The two-time Atlantic 10 Setter of the Year is looking to move up the ranks this season and is only 227 assists behind former Flyer Ali Hayes who currently ranks fourth in the career assists column.

Tim Horsmon currently has 198 wins at the helm of the Flyer program between his two stints (eight seasons). Horsmon collected 128 wins between 2003 and 2007 and has 70 wins over 2014, 2015 and 2016. He is the second-winningest Dayton coach, behind UD's first head coach R. Elaine Dreidame who amassed 310 wins 1970-79.
