• The University of Dayton women's soccer team (2-5-1, 0-0-0 A-10) opens up Atlantic 10 Conference play this Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. ET at Baujan Field against Saint Louis (7-2-0, 0-0-0 A-10). It will have been 24 days since the Flyers last played at Baujan, their last home match was Sept. 4, a 3-0 win over Purdue.
• Due to inclement weather the game has been moved up to 6 p.m. ET at Baujan Field.
• Promotions for the SLU vs. Dayton women's soccer match include: Wear red for the Red Out! Coffee for students for National Coffee Day, a juggling contest at halftime, free mini balls and T-shirts for every Flyer goal scored, and Dayton Soccer scarves (must have attended eight UD men's or women's soccer matches and have games punched on card or they are $15 each while supplies last).
LAST TIME OUT
• Dayton registered a 1-1 double overtime tie in its last outing vs. crosstown foe Wright State on Sept. 18. Freshman

UP NEXT
• The Flyers will then travel to Fairfax, Va. for a matchup against the George Mason Patriots (6-3-0, 0-0-0 A-10). Kickoff is Sunday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m. ET. The Patriots play host to St. Bonaventure Friday night in their A-10 opener.

THE SERIES vs. SLU
• The Flyers lead the all-time series 9-2-1 over the Billikens and have won the last nine meetings, including a 1-0 win in St. Louis on Oct. 1, 2015.
Nicole Waters (2016 UD graduate) scored the game-winner on an assist from
Meghan Blank.
• The last four Flyer wins over the Billikens have been decided by one goal. (1-0 in 2015, 3-2 in 2014, 3-2 in 2013 and 1-0 in 2012).
• UD is 4-2-1 all-time when playing Saint Louis at home.
THE SERIES vs. GMU
• Dayton is 3-1-0 all-time in the series vs. George Mason. The Flyers have won the last three matches, including a 4-2 victory at home on Oct. 4, 2015.
Alexis Kiehl and
Beth Kamphaus both scored in that victory. In addition to scoring the game-winning goal, Kamphaus also had an assist vs. the Patriots in that match.
Libby Leedom had the assist on the game-winning goal.
SCOUTING SAINT LOUIS
• Saint Louis finished 7-2-0 in non-conference play this year; tying the third-best non-conference mark in the Billiken program's 21-year history.
• Saint Louis has achieved its highest Mid-Atlantic Region ranking of the season, jumping two spots to No. 3 in this week's poll conducted by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
• The Billikens lost 2-1 at Nebraska on Sept. 4 (the Flyers lost 3-1 to the Cornhuskers on Sept. 9) and their only other loss was a 3-1 setback to SMU in Dallas on Sept. 16. SLU bounced back with a 1-0 double overtime win against Murray State at home.
• SLU leads the Atlantic 10 in shots (155) and shutouts (4).
• Senior Danielle Tolmais leads SLU with five goals. She also has dished one assist. Tolmais also leads the Billikens in points (11), shots on goal (14) and game-winning goals (2).
• Five different Billikens have scored multiple goals this season.
• Sophomore Isabella Palazzolo leads SLU with five assists (tied for first in the A-10).
• Mary Niehaus has started every game in goal for Saint Louis. She owns a .88 GAA (2nd in the A-10) and has 21 saves and four shutouts. She has twice been named the A-10 Defensive Player of the Week.
A-10 HONORS FOR TWO
• UD's
Kaelyn Johns and George Mason senior Kirsten Glad were named the league's Co-Defensive Players of the Week. Flyer freshman
Madeleine Morrissey was selected as the A-10 Rookie of the Week for games played Sept. 12-18. Johns, a goalkeeper from Downingtown, Pa., had seven saves in a 1-1 double-overtime tie at crosstown rival Wright State at Alumni Field Sunday night. The seven saves, which were made during her 110 minutes in net, were one shy of her career high. Morrissey scored Dayton's lone goal in a 1-1 double-overtime tie versus crosstown rival Wright State Sunday night on the road at Alumni Field. It was the second goal of the season for the midfielder from Cincinnati, Ohio.
FLYERS SPLIT IN CORN COUNTRY
• The Flyers suffered a 3-1 loss to Nebraska (a team receiving votes in the NSCAA national ranking at the time) on Sept. 9.
Alexis Kiehl tied the match with her team-leading fourth goal of the season on an assist from
Libby Leedom. The Cornhuskers scored two unanswered goals for the win. UD bounced back with a 2-1 win over Omaha on Sept. 11.
Sara Robertson scored her first-ever collegiate goal and
Libby Leedom had the game-winner on a corner kick. That was Leedom's third goal scored this season.
Sidney LeRoy had the assist on the game-winner, giving her a team-high three assists this year.
STREAK STOPPER
• The Flyers ended a four-match losing streak with a 3-0 shutout over Purdue (Sept. 4). At that time, it was only the second time the Boilermakers had been shut out this season. The other was a 2-0 loss to then-ranked No. 4 West Virginia.

TOUGH START
• The Flyers started the season with three losses by one goal; including a 2-1 setback at Cincinnati (Aug. 19) in which the Bearcats scored with 14 seconds remaining in the second overtime. The Flyers also lost 2-1 at Ohio (Aug. 21) and vs. Kent State (Aug. 28) at Baujan Field.
TERRIFIC TUCKER

Mike Tucker is in his 22nd season at UD and has amassed an overall record of 306-119-31 overall and 163-31-11 vs. A-10 opponents.
• The legendary coach announced he will retire following the 2016 season.
• UD's 3-1 win over Fordham on Oct. 18, 2015 at Baujan Field marked the 300th career victory for Coach
Mike Tucker. He is one of just 17 active coaches to have won 300 matches in NCAA Division I Women's Soccer.
A-10 DEFENSIVE POTW HONOR
Sophomore
Kaelyn Johns was chosen as the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week for Aug. 29 – Sept. 4. She had a career day in Dayton's 3-0 win over Purdue (Sept. 4). The Flyer goalkeeper notched a career-high eight saves versus the Boilermakers in UD's first shutout this season. Prior to this match, Purdue had only been shut out by No. 4 West Virginia this season. Johns played all 90 minutes and made quality saves in the fourth, 34th, 35th, 54th and 72nd minutes. Starting with Johns' diving save at the left post in the 34th minute, the Boilermakers had three shots and four corner kicks in a span of about 90 seconds but were unable to break through.

• For the eighth consecutive year, the Dayton women's soccer team has been chosen as the Atlantic 10 Conference preseason favorite in a vote conducted by the league's 14 head coaches. The Flyers earned 185 votes and eight first-place votes to take the top spot in the rankings in 2016.
DAYTON'S A-10 BACKGROUND
• Dayton has won the A-10 Tournament Championship more than any other team in the conference: nine times (1996, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014).
• UD has also won or shared 11 Atlantic 10 Regular Season titles (1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2013). The next closest is Massachusetts with five.
FLYER SUCCESS
• The Dayton women's soccer program owns an overall record of 430-184-48 since it became a varsity program in 1984.
