Dayton (15-1, 2-0) opened the Atlantic 10 portion of its season with wins over visiting George Washington and George Mason last weekend. The Flyers are enjoying a four-match winning streak heading into the match-up against the Billikens. UD is led offensively by junior

Scouting Saint Louis
Saint Louis (7-10, 2-0) also picked up wins over George Washington and George Mason this past weekend to open conference play. The Billikens opened the season with a tough schedule resulting in a 1-7 mark in the early going but have now won four of their last five matches. SLU is led by Danielle Rygelski with 5.74 kills/set (1st A-10, 2nd NCAA) to go with 2.81 digs/set and 0.35 aces/set (6th A-10).
Series Stuff
There have been 45 matches between Dayton and Saint Louis dating back to the 1978 season with the Flyers holding a 29-16 advantage in the series. The two last met in the finals of the 2015 A-10 Championship with Dayton claiming a straight-set win to take the title. The Flyers have won six straight and 14 of the last 15 meetings.
RPI Rankings
At the end of the 2015 season, Dayton held a Rating Percentage Index (RPI) ranking of 22 according to ncaa.com. Saint Louis finished last season at 70 in the RPI. The first RPI of 2016 will be released next Monday, Oct. 3.

13th to 1,000
With two wins at the 2014 Bowling Green Hampton Inn Invitational, Dayton surpassed the 1,000-win mark as a program and is just the 13th NCAA DI team to attain that level of success. The Flyers currently rank 13th all-time in the Division I record book with an overall program tally of 1,070-564 (.655) over 47 seasons (1970).

Amber Erhahon has a very efficient swing, currently ranking fourth in all of NCAA DI with a .452 hitting percentage this season. For her career, Erhahon's .406 hitting percentage (656-141-1270) ranks number one all-time in the Flyers' record book and ranks fourth nationally among active career leaders.
Moving Up the Ranks
Junior
Jane Emmenecker currently ranks in fifth place all-time among Dayton's setters with 3,024 career assists. The two-time Atlantic 10 Setter of the Year is looking to move up the ranks this season and is only 146 assists behind former Flyer Ali Hayes who currently ranks fourth (3,251) in the career assists column.
200 and Counting
Dayton head coach
Tim Horsmon currently has 200 wins at the helm of the Flyer program between his two stints (eight seasons). Horsmon collected 128 wins between 2003 and 2007 and has 72 wins over 2014, 2015 and 2016. He is the second-winningest Dayton coach, behind UD's first head coach R. Elaine Dreidame who amassed 310 wins (1970-79).
Peterson Picks Up Third Weekly Honor
For the third time in as many weeks, Dayton freshman
Jamie Peterson was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday, Sept. 26. She led the Flyers to a 2-0 opening weekend in conference play, posting back-to-back double-digit kill matches. For the week, Peterson hit at .480 while averaging 3.62 kills per set, scoring 3.94 points per set.
