The University of Dayton women's soccer team (1-4-0, 0-0-0 A-10) is traveling West to take on Nebraska (5-1-0) this Friday, Sept. 9 at 8:05 p.m. ET at Hibner Stadium in Lincoln, Neb. The game will be streamed on BTN Plus. The Flyers then play at Omaha (2-2-0) on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 12:30 p.m. ET at Caniglia Field.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Flyers ended a four-match losing streak with a 3-0 shutout of Purdue (Sept. 4). It's only the second time the Boilermakers had been shut out this season. The other was a 2-0 loss to No. 4 West Virginia.
• Senior Libby Leedom scored two goals, freshman Micayla Livingston scored the game-winner, Sidney LeRoy had two assists and Alexis Kiehl added an assist in the victory over Purdue.
• Sophomore Kaelyn Johns recorded a career-high eight saves in the shutout.
• The Flyers started the season with three losses by a score of 2-1; including a 2-1 setback to Cincinnati in which the Bearcats scored with 14 seconds remaining in the second overtime.

• Dayton closes out the non-conference portion of its schedule at cross-town rival Wright State on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. ET at Alumni Field.

• Dayton's leading returning goal scorer is junior Alexis Kiehl (8 goals), who was named to the 2016 A-10 Preseason Team. She was a First Team All-Atlantic 10 forward in 2015.
• Alexis Kiehl accounts for three of UD's seven goals scored this season. She leads the Flyers with seven points (3 goals, 1 assist).
• Kaelyn Johns started every game in goal as a true freshman last year. She finished her rookie campaign with 79 saves and a 1.65 GAA. She registered her first shutout of the 2016 in UD's 3-0 win over Purdue.
TERRIFIC TUCKER
• Flyer Head Coach Mike Tucker is in his 22nd season at UD and has amassed an overall record of 305-118-30 overall and 163-31-11 vs. A-10 opponents.
• The legendary coach announced he will retire following the 2016 season.
• UD's 3-1 win over Fordham on Oct. 18, 2015 at Baujan Field marked the 300th career victory for Coach Mike Tucker. He is one of just 17 active coaches to have won 300 matches in NCAA Division I Women's Soccer.
SCOUTING NEBRASKA
• The Cornhuskers are 5-1-0 with their only loss coming against Oregon, 1-0.
• Nebraska is receiving votes (25) in the latest NSCAA national poll and ranked No. 4 in the NSCAA Great Lakes Region poll.
• All six of Nebraska's matches have been decided by one goal.
• Six different players have scored goals for Nebraska, led by Haley Hanson and Brenna Ochoa with two each. Ochoa's have both been game-winners.
• Aubrei Corder has played every minute in goal for the Huskers and has two shutouts.
• The Huskers have wins over Marquette (2-1), Brigham Young (1-0), Oregon State (2-1 in 2OT), Kansas (1-0 in 2OT) and A-10 opponent Saint Louis (2-1).
SCOUTING OMAHA
• Omaha is 2-2-0 overall with wins over UMKC (2-0) and North Dakota (2-0) and losses to Creighton (3-1) and Kansas State (1-0). The Mavericks play Missouri State Friday.
• Carlie Cook leads Omaha with three goals and one assist.
• Three different players have seen time in goal for the Mavericks.
• Omaha was picked to finish seventh in the 2016 Summit League Preseason Poll.
THE SERIES
• This will be the first meeting between Nebraska and Dayton in women's soccer. The two teams were scheduled to square off last year at Baujan Field but the match was canceled due to inclement weather.
• This is also the first meeting between Omaha and Dayton women's soccer.
A-10 DEFENSIVE POTW HONOR
Sophomore Kaelyn Johns was chosen as the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week for Aug. 29 – Sept. 4. She had a career day in Dayton's 3-0 win over Purdue (Sept. 4). The Flyer goalkeeper notched a career-high eight saves versus the Boilermakers in UD's first shutout this season. Prior to this match, Purdue had only been shut out by No. 4 West Virginia this season. Johns played all 90 minutes and made quality saves in the fourth, 34th, 35th, 54th and 72nd minutes. Starting with Johns' diving save at the left post in the 34th minute, the Boilermakers had three shots and four corner kicks in a span of about 90 seconds but were unable to break through.
BELIEVIN' IN BAUJAN
• The Flyers are 216-63-20 all-time in games played at Baujan Field. UD owns a .761 winning percentage in those matches. In the last six years, Dayton is 60-11-5 at home, an astounding .821 winning percentage at Baujan.
• Dayton's first home match of the 2015 season vs. then No. 18 Ohio State drew 2,102 fans, the second-largest attendance for a UD women's soccer match at Baujan Field in program history.
KIEHL EARNS PRESEASON RECOGNITION
• For the second consecutive season, Flyer forward Alexis Kiehl was named to the A-10 Preseason team.
FLYERS ARE FAVORED AGAIN
• For the eighth consecutive year, the Dayton women's soccer team has been chosen as the 2016 Atlantic 10 Conference preseason favorite in a vote conducted by the league's 14 head coaches. The Flyers earned 185 votes and eight first place votes to take the top spot in the rankings.
DAYTON'S A-10 BACKGROUND
• Dayton has won the A-10 Tournament Championship more than any other team in the conference: nine times (1996, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014).
• UD has also won or shared 11 Atlantic 10 Regular Season titles (1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2013). The next closest is Massachusetts with five.
FLYER SUCCESS
• The Dayton women's soccer program owns an overall record of 429-183-47 since it became a varsity program in 1984.
• The Flyers made NCAA Tournament appearances in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2014, advancing to the second round in both 2009 and 2010 and to the Sweet Sixteen in 2001.
