KETTERING, Ohio - The University of Dayton men's golf team claimed a fifth-place finish at its annual Flyer Invitational. Senior
Phillip Johnson was the team's top performer with a sixth place finish. As a team, Dayton posted a three-round score of 291-289-295=875 (+23) while Johnson carded a 54-hole total of 73-72-71=216 (+3).
Miami (Ohio) captured the team title with its score of 284-285-291=860 (+8) and the RedHawks' Patrick Flavin earned medalist honors (after a two-hole playoff) with a score of 71-69-72=212 (-1). The two-day event was held at NCR Country Club on the North Course, played at par 71 and 7,055 yards.
