BRONX, N.Y. - The University of Dayton volleyball team got past Fordham 3-1 (25-19, 25-19, 23-25, 27-25) Friday night at the Rams' Rose Hill Gym. Senior
Jessica Sloan led the Flyers with 18 kills and 10 digs.
With the win, Dayton improves to 12-6 overall and the Flyers remain unbeaten in Atlantic 10 action at 4-0. Fordham falls to 10-8 on the season and 2-3 in league play.
KEY STATS
- Senior Amber Erhahon was creeping up on the double with 10 kills and eight blocks
- Junior Lauren Bruns was the third Flyer in double-digit kills with 11 while also getting under eight digs and recording five blocks
- In her first career start, freshman Bridget Doherty tallied 45 assists and two service aces
- Junior Margo Wolf passed a match-high 28 digs while junior Kendyll Brown chipped in nine kills and five blocks
- Fordham was led by Olivia Fairchild with 19 kills and 10 digs while Morgan Williams was the team's leading passer with 23 digs
