WASHINGTON, D.C. - The University of Dayton volleyball team claimed a straight-set sweep, 3-0, (25-23, 25-21, 25-12), over George Washington Friday night in the nation's capital. Senior
Amber Erhahon led all attackers with 11 kills.
With the win, Dayton improves to 21-7 on the season and 12-1 in Atlantic 10 play while George Washington falls to 10-19 overall and 6-7 in league action.
KEY STATS
- Erhahon also posted a .600 hitting percentage and tallied a match-high six blocks
- Juniors Kendyll Brown and Lauren Bruns chipped in nine kills each while Brown was swinging at a .500 clip
- Junior Margo Wolf passed a match-high 14 digs and senior Jane Emmenecker set 23 assists
- As a team, Dayton tallied 10 blocks to George Washington's four and the Flyers out-hit the Colonials .309 to .159
- George Washington was led by Kristel Moor with eight kills and Sydney Welch with nine digs.
UP NEXT
Dayton closes out the 2017 regular season at George Mason on Saturday. The Flyers and Patriots are scheduled to square off at 2 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Mason's Recreation Athletic Complex.
