DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team tallied a straight-set win over Rhode Island, 3-0 (25-9, 25-19, 25-12), Friday night at Frericks Center. Junior Lauren Bruns led the Flyer attack with a match-high 13 kills while hitting at a career-high .812.

With the win, Dayton improves to 19-7 overall and 10-1 in Atlantic 10 action while Rhode Island moves to 10-14 on the season and 5-7 in league play.

KEY STATS

• Bruns had 13 kills to zero errors in 16 attempts (.812) to lead three Flyers in double-figures scoring
• Senior Amber Erhahon continues her efficient ways with 11 kills to zero errors in 13 attempts (.786) to go with five blocks
• Senior Jessica Sloan tallied 12 kills to go with four digs, three blocks and three service aces
• Freshman Bridget Doherty recorded a match-high 28 assists while junior Margo Wolf got under a match-high 11 digs
• Dayton hit a blazing season-high of .574 to Rhode Island's .167 while the Flyers posted 44 kills to the Rams' 22
• Rhode Island was led by Marie Gillcrist with nine kills and Jessie Blaze with nine digs
