DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team closed out the home portion of its 2017 schedule with a 3-1 (25-16, 18-25, 25-9, 25-12) win over Fordham Sunday at Frericks Center on Senior Day. Senior
Amber Erhahon led the Flyers with 12 kills to go with eight digs.
Dayton improves to 20-7 on the season, the program's 30th 20-win season, and 11-1 in Atlantic 10 Conference play. Fordham moves to 12-14 for the year and 4-9 in league action.
Prior to the match, five senior team members were recognized:
Jane Emmenecker,
Amber Erhahon,
Laura Hubacek,
Maggie Schutter and
Jessica Sloan.
KEY STATS
- Two other Flyers tallied double-digit kills in Sloan (11) and junior Kendyll Brown (11). Brown also posted a .625 hitting percentage and four blocks
- Emmenecker set a match-high 43 assists while junior Margo Wolf passed a match-high 17 digs
- Sophomore Sierra Pla had a career-high four kills to zero errors in five attempts for an .800 hitting percentage to go with three blocks
- Dayton out-hit Fordham, .303 to .129, and the Flyers tallied 10.5 blocks to the Rams' 3.0 blocks
- The Rams were led by Olivia Fairchild with a match-high 15 kills and Morgan Williams with 16 digs

Dayton closes out its 2017 regular-season schedule on the road with matches at George Washington and George Mason. The Flyers and Colonials are set to square off on Friday, Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. at GW's Smith Center. On Saturday, Dayton will be in Fairfax, Virginia, to take on George Mason at 2 p.m. at the Recreation Athletic Complex.
