#UDBASE DOUBLED UP BY UNC ASHEVILLE, 12-6

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The University of Dayton baseball team outhit UNC Asheville on Friday afternoon, but the Bulldogs doubled-up the Flyers 12-6 at Russell C. King Field.

KEY MOMENTS
- After Dayton grabbed a first inning, 2-1 lead, UNC Asheville came back and scored five runs on four hits to jump ahead and would never look back.

SCORING BREAKDOWN
Top 1st
- UNC Asheville got on the board with an RBI groundout that plated the game's first run and gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.

Bottom 1st 
- Dayton came back with a pair of runs in its half of the first, as seniors Maverick Prine and Matt Poland picked up RBIs to put the Flyers ahead 2-1.

Top 2nd 
- The Bulldogs took a commanding 6-2 lead thanks to a five run frame, highlighted by a bases loaded double that plated three and put UNC Asheville ahead.

Bottom 3rd
- UD made a dent in the deficit thanks to a Robbie Doring RBI double, making it 6-3.

- UNC Asheville jumped out further thanks to a three-run home run that gave the Bulldogs a 9-3 advantage.

KEY STATS
- Dayton had three players reach base three times in the game, as Nick Ryan (0-for-2, three walks), Connor Echols (3-for-4) and Pat Meehan (3-for-4) all set the table for the offense.
- Ryan and Echols each scored two runs, while Robbie Doring and Maverick Prine both drove in two.
- After surrendering 12 runs on nine hits in the first six innings, Peter Rozman, Jason Johnson and Tyler Henry tossed three scoreless frames and allowed just one hit.
