Scouting Eastern Kentucky
Eastern Kentucky (15-22, 4-5 OVC) played four games over the weekend, dropping a two-game set to SIUE and splitting its series with Eastern Illinois, at home in Ohio Valley Conference action. The Colonels' offense is led by Rachel Minogue with a .417 average that includes 45 hits (13 doubles) to go with 28 RBI and 23 runs scored. Mollie Paulick (6-8) holds the team-low ERA at 2.50 and has struck out 84 batters on the season.
Series Stuff
There have been 31 meetings between Dayton and Eastern Kentucky all time with the Colonels holding the slim 16-15 margin. The pair last squared off on March 8 last season in Richmond as EKU took both games of a doubleheader.

With 193 career hits, senior Gabby Snyder now ranks third all-time on the Dayton career hits list. Chasing former Flyer Molly Meyer (2007-10) who is at the top of the list with 197, Snyder needs just five more hits to take over the top spot. She is currently in first place in the A-10 standings with 49 hits (53rd NCAA) this season.
There's Your Double
Senior Gabby Snyder is an ace in the circle but she also carries a big bat. After batting her third double of the season against Northern Kentucky on Feb. 17, Snyder set a new Dayton career doubles record and she now has 53 career doubles.

Manda Cash has already made her mark on the Dayton record book and continues to climb the rankings. Her career ERA of 1.73 ranks third all-time in program history. Additionally, Cash has tallied 486 career strikeouts which ranks second, behind only former Flyer Kayla English (2012-15) who holds the record with 564.

Hannah DeSalvo has already surpassed her career total from the last three years. Her 24 career stolen bases cracked Dayton's top-10 list, ranking her tied for eighth place all-time with two other former Flyers. DeSalvo has also been hit by a pitch 13 times this season (2nd A-10), setting a new Dayton single-season record.
