LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - The University of Dayton women's golf team wrapped up the first day of competition of the 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship Friday in fifth place with a team score of 336. Senior Jenna DiPaolo paced the Flyers with her first-round score of 80 (+8).

The three-day event is being held at Disney's Magnolia Course and is playing at par 72, totaling 6,021 yards.

KEY STATS
3 - as a team, the Flyers recorded a total of three birdies on the day, two par threes and one par four
4 - Dayton is just four strokes behind fourth-placed Siena and the two traded spots through the round
17 - the 17th hole was the most problematic for the team with only one par
