#UDBASE HANGS ON TO TOP SAINT LOUIS 6-5

SAINT LOUIS, Mo. - The University of Dayton held on to win an exciting, 6-5, contest over Saint Louis University on Saturday at the Billiken Sports Center.

KEY MOMENT
- With the game on the line, SLU's Devin Mahoney hit a foul ball that left the yard that would have been a walk-off homer. On the next pitch, Tyler Henry induced a game-ending ground ball that secured the W for the Flyers.

SCORING BREAKDOWN
Top 2nd 
- Dayton pushed across its first run of the game when senior Cale Dineen hit an RBI groundout to score freshman Tate Hagan and put the Flyers on top 1-0.

Bottom 3rd
- Saint Louis evened the score at 1-1 when they were able to take advantage of a wild pitch to knot the game.

Top 4th
- The Flyers bust the game open thanks to three hits and a Billikens error that led to four runs, highlighted by a Bailey Montoya RBI double that put UD ahead 5-1.

Bottom 6th
- SLU cut the deficit in half thanks to a two-run home run that brought the score to 5-3.

Bottom 8th 
- The Billikens plated another run to make it 5-4 with a two-out, RBI double.

Top 9th
- UD added a key insurance run on a Pat Meehan batted ball that the SLU made an error on, plating Brantley Johnson from second base to put the Flyers ahead 6-4.
