INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Dayton offense was held in check on Tuesday afternoon, getting shutout 4-0 by Butler University at Bulldog Park

- Already enjoying a 1-0 lead, Butler bust the game wide open thanks to a bases-loaded single combined with a UD error that plated three runs. 

SCORING BREAKDOWN
Bottom 8th 
- After seven and a half scoreless innings, Butler finally bust through with a four run inning, scoring a single run on a one-out single and then plating three more on a bases-loaded single plus a Dayton error.

KEY STATS
- It was one of the top performances of the year for junior Mason Kutruff, who tossed six shutout innings and allowed four hits while striking out five.
- Senior Nick Ryan and freshman Brantley Johnson were the only two Flyers to get hits in the game.
- Sophomore Connor Echols was the only other player to reach base, drawing a walk.
