ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Dayton men's golf team finished in third place at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championship after a back-nine surge during the final round of play Sunday. The Flyers posted a team score of 283-290-281=854 (-10) while senior Nick Paxson was the team's best finisher in a tie for fifth place (71-71-69=211 -5) and was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team.

The three-day tournament was held at Grand Cypress Resort on the New Course at par 72 and 6,794 yards.

Richmond won its first-ever Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship, clinching the crown with a 24-under-par 840 (273-288-279). The Spiders earn the Atlantic 10's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Regionals. Davidson's Jack Lang took medalist honors, winning the championship with a 10-under 206 (70-68-68).

-4 - with four birdies and an eagle, senior Caleb Wolters finished the last nine holes of the day at four-under-par
