BOWLING GREEN, Ohio– The University of Dayton baseball team fell 17-10 to Bowling Green in a slugfest on Tuesday afternoon at Steller Field.

- With Dayton holding a one-run advantage in the sixth frame, Bowling Green pieced together four runs on six hits to grab a lead they would never relinquish.

Bottom 1stÂ
- Bowling Green started the scoring with a four-run frame, getting a two-run homer and a two-RBI double to take the early 4-0 lead.
Top 2ndÂ
- Dayton jumped in front 6-4 with a six-run frame. The Flyers had four hits, took advantage of three free passes as well as a BG error.

- The Flyers made it 7-4 on a RBI double by sophomore

- Dayton regained the lead thanks to a two-out, RBI single from senior
Nick Ryan that plated
Brantley Johnson and put the Flyers ahead 9-8.

- Bowling Green tallied its third four-run inning to take a 12-9 lead, using six singles in the inning to plate its runs.
Top 8thÂ
- A wild pitch brought the Flyers to double-digit runs, scoring
Robbie Doring to make the score 12-10.
Bottom 8th
- The Falcons took advantage of the Flyers' pitching staff being unable to locate the strike zone, plating five runs on just one hit to go ahead 17-10. Dayton issued five free passes (four walks, one HBP) in the frame.
KEY STATS
- Dayton's 10 runs scored and 12 hits were its most for both categories in a game since April 7 against Illinois State.
