DeKALB, Ill. - The University of Dayton volleyball team picked up a 3-1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-14) win over Northern Illinois Friday night at NIU's Convocation Center. Senior
Jessica Sloan posted the match's only double-double with a match-high 16 points and 10 digs.
KEY MOMENT
After dropping the first set, 25-20, Dayton battled Northern Illinois through a 13-13 tie in set two. The Flyers used a 4-1 run to go up 17-14 and never looked back. UD led by as many as eight in the second set, 24-16, and rolled to a 3-1 match win.
KEY STATS
- Sloan led three Flyers in double digits with 16 kills to go with 10 digs. She also tallied three service aces, three assists and one block on the night.

Kendyll Brown have picked up where they left off last season when it comes to hitting percentage. For the match, Erhahon had 10 kills to two errors in 17 attempts (.471) while Brown recorded eight kills to one error in 11 attempts (.636).

- As a team, the Flyers out-hit the Huskies .304 to .132 and Dayton tallied 11 team blocks to Northern Illinois' five.
