#UDMSOC Falls At Fort Wayne

The Flyers Move To 0-1-1 On The Season

FORT WAYNE, Ind.  – The University of Dayton men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season Sunday on the road at Fort Wayne.

The Flyers (0-1-1) was able to tie the game up early in the second half, but a late goal by the Mastodons (1-0-1) gave the home team the victory.

  • The Flyers trailed for the second straight game after the Mastodon's 33rd-minute goal.
  • Dayton matched Fort Wayne in the first half with five shots, two of which were on goal.
  • Freshman Trey Marchino's goal in the 49th minute was his first collegiate goal in just his second game in a Flyer uniform.
  • Taneski's assist was his second of the season in as many games. He led Dayton with six last year.
  • The Flyers were outshot in the contest, 13-10.
