COLUMBUS, Ohio - The University of Dayton volleyball team extended its winning streak to four matches with a sweep, 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-13), of Northern Illinois Friday morning in the the first match of the Ohio State Buckeye Invitational. Today's matches are being played at OSU's St. John Arena.
Junior
Lauren Bruns led the Flyer attached with a career-high 22 kills and a .600 hitting percentage (22-1-35).
KEY MOMENT
Trailing by as many as six, 10-4, in the second set, it looked like Dayton might be in trouble. A service ace from senior
Amber Erhahon evened the set at 11 points apiece and the Flyers pulled in front, 14-13, with a kill from Bruns. But Northern Illinois rattled off five-straights points to go up four, 18-14. UD was behind 22-19 down the stretch but scored the final six points of the set on the strength of four kills from Bruns to take the game, 25-22.

Jessica Sloan was the only other Flyer in double-digit kills with 12. She also passed six digs and served up three aces.

Margo Wolf got under a match-high 17 digs and senior
Jane Emmenecker set a match-high 37 assists.
- As a team, Dayton hit a season-high .415 for the match while Northern Illinois was swinging at .213.
- Northern Illinois was led by Kaylee Martin with 10 kills and Anna Brereton with 13 digs.
