CEDARVILLE, Ohio  – The University of Dayton men's cross country team finished fourth as a team at the 2017 Friendship Invitational at Cedarvillle University Saturday morning while setting four personal bests.
The Flyers had competitions on back-to-back days with some of the student-athletes competing yesterday in Dayton's victory at the National Catholic Invitational while the rest ran Saturday morning in Ohio.

COACH ORDWAY'S COMMENTS
"The guys had a pretty good day," said head coach
Jason Ordway. "We had an opportunity to see how those guys that are the second half of our squad can perform and see where they fared against the guys that competed at Notre Dame. The guys really stepped up and had a great day.
Ryan Kronk came through in the first spot for us. He's had an up and down semester, but for him to come through today and really race tough, I thought that was really great progress for him.
Tom Clark finished right on his heels, as a senior stepping up for us. They want to make it into the top 10 that goes to our conference meet. They are knocking on the door. It was a great chance for some of our younger guys to race in a lower pressure environment and to kick off some nerves and see where they are at with their peers. It was a really good effort all together. We are looking forward to racing again in two weeks. We will have the full squad at the same meet so we can go head-to-head."
