CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's cross country team finished fourth at the 27
th Annual Friendship Invitational hosted by Cedarville University at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.
COACH JASON ORDWAY'S QUOTE
The women had a good showing.
Alex Curtin was our top finisher. She had a really smart race where she went after it in the second half after a conservative start. That's how she feels the best when she's racing, starting conservative and finishing strong. So she did that really well today. We had a freshman
Kelly Wilker perform pretty well for us, rounding out the top five.
Kaci Bornhorst is coming back from time off and getting back into shape so hopefully we get her back. She was a pretty good contributor for us at the conference meet last year so she's starting to gain more confidence and move up in our ranks a little bit. The women raced the field as well as each other. We just want to improve week after week. We will get back to workouts this week, come back and race again at All-OhioÂ
in two weeks and kind of see where we stand against some of the other schools in Ohio.
The Flyers will return to Cedarville Friday, Sept. 29 for the All-Ohio Championship 6K.
