#UDMSOC Comes Up Short At No. 24 WMU

The Flyers Fell 1-0 On The Road

KALAMAZOO, Mich.  – The University of Dayton men's soccer team battled No. 24 Western Michigan Sunday, but came up short in a 1-0 loss.  

The Flyers (2-4-2) picked up their third straight loss as the Broncos (7-0-1) remain undefeated.

KEY STATS
  • WMU out-shot Dayton 19-7 and put seven on target compared to the Flyers' three.
  • UD committed nine fouls while the Broncos had eight.
  • The corner kicks were 9-1 in WMU's advantage.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Federico Barrios made six saves in the contest.
  • Senior James Haupt and redshirt junior Nick Hagenkord both had two shots to lead the team.

  • The Flyers will return home to host Oakland Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. at Baujan Field.
