COACH GOLZ'S QUOTE
Tonight was a good statement from our team. We have made some progress since the beginning of the year, and we expect that to continue. This game was great preparation for conference play. We needed to perform well on a Sunday and display that we have the ability to win rivalry games on the road. I thought we dominated large segments of the game, but lacked the quality on the final pass or finish. The game was physical and emotional because of the rivalry, so I was proud that our team did a good job in keeping their composure and finding a way to get the job done. We are thrilled for Jordan. That was a spectacular goal, and she has been working so hard to get back on the field following some injury setbacks. We are excited to put together a two-win, two-shutout weekend prior to starting A-10 play; but we have to stay hungry and humble to continue our steady growth.
