DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team downed visiting Duquesne, 3-1 (19-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-20), Friday night in the squad's Atlantic 10 home opener. Senior Amber Erhahon led all attackers with a match-high 14 kills.

Dayton improves to 10-6 overall and 2-0 in league action while Duquesne falls to 7-10 on the season and 2-1 in conference play.

KEY MOMENT
After dropping the first set, 25-19, Dayton open the second frame by scoring six of the first seven points. The Flyers led by as many as 10 points during the second set and went on to win three-consecutive games to take the match, 3-1.

- Erhahon had 14 kills to two errors in 24 attempts for a .500 hitting percentage to go with five service aces.
- Speaking of aces, as a team Dayton tallied 13 services, a total that equals the program record for aces in a four-set match
- Senior Jane Emmenecker had an active night with five kills to zero errors in nine attempts for a .556 hitting percentage to go with her 38 assists
- Duquesne was led by Maddie Bazelak, one of four Dukes in double-digit kills with 13 to go with 17 digs for the only double-double of the match
