NASHVILLE  – The University of Dayton men's soccer team fought to a 0-0 draw at Belmont Sunday in Nashville, Tenn. Â
The Flyers (1-1-2) totaled 12 shots in the contest, but was unable to put one past the Bruins (1-0-2) defense.
KEY STATS
- Dayton had 12 shots in the game and put six on goal. Belmont had nine shots, three on target.
- The Flyers committed 15 fouls to the Bruins' 11 fouls.
- Belmont had 14 corners in the game while Dayton had nine.
- Sophomore Rok Taneski and freshman Jonas Fjeldberg both had three shots in the game while senior Aidan Bean led the way with three shots.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Federico Barrios recorded three saves in his fourth game of the season.
COACH'S COMMENTS
"The team fought hard today in a very competitive match," said head coach
Dennis Currier. "We had to dig deep into the bench with such high temperatures and I felt everyone did their jobs. It was our first shutout of the season as well. We improved this past weekend and need to continue that growth."

- The Flyers will return home to host the Dayton Tournament Friday, Sept. 8 and 10. The weekend begins with Fort Wayne and Liberty in a neutral contest at 5 p.m. before Dayton hosts Central Arkansas at 7:30 p.m.
