MECHANISCVILLE, Va. ā Seniors
Taylor Vernot and
Emily Borchers finished 1-2 at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Championship today to help the University of Dayton to a second-place finish in the team standings.
Vernot was crowned the A-10 individual champion with her school-record time of 17:14.0 (records are kept as of 2003). Her time is the 10th fastest in A-10 Championship history. She has earned all-conference honors all four years competing in cross country for the Flyers.
Borchers was runner-up and also named to the all-conference team with a time of 17:21.0.
Richmond won the team title with 41 points, while the Flyers were second with 94 points.
Including Vernot, six Flyers had personal records in the championship race. Senior
Allison Triskett had a PR of 18:04.7 which is 14th all-time at UD. Sophomore
Kelly Wilker was right behind her in a PR time of 18:06.2, 16th all-time at Dayton.

Carlee Constable was the next Flyer in a PR time of 18:21.1 which is 22nd all-time at Dayton. Freshman
Katie Miller also notched a Top 25 UD time with her PR of 18:25.6, which is 24th all-time.
Freshman
Emily Sreenan also ran a PR time of 18:32.7 to score for the Flyers.
