TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The University of Dayton women's cross country team placed 12th of 32 teams at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional today at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
Senior
Emily Borchers was Dayton's top finisher in a PR time of 21:16. Fellow senior
Taylor Vernot was next in 21:21. Freshman
Emily Sreenan was third for the Flyers in a PR time of 22:30. She just edged out sophomore
Kelly Wilker who crossed in 22:32. Senior
Allison Triskett was close behind in 22:39 as the fifth Flyer to finish.
The Flyers were ranked No. 12 in the USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region going into this race. UD finished in front of Xavier. Michigan won with 46 points. Wisconsin, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Indiana rounded out the top five.
