Morgan Henderson Scores Golden Goal In #UDWSOC Win

Flyers Start Season 2-0-0 For First Time Since 2011

HARRISONBURG, Va. –  University of Dayton sophomore Morgan Henderson scored her first collegiate goal, a sudden victory OT goal in UD's 2-1 win over William & Mary Sunday at Sentara Park in the JMU Fairfield by Marriott Invitational.

Dayton starts the season 2-0-0 for the first time since 2011, while William & Mary drops to 0-2-0 overall.

KEY STATS
• Dayton led 11-5 in shots in the match, including 3-0 in OT. The Flyers also had two corner kicks in OT.
• Kaelyn Johns had three saves in goal for the Flyers.

KEY MOMENTS
• Dayton got on the scoreboard first thanks to a shot at the top of the box from senior Keagin Collie in the 79th minute.
• The Tribe answered in the 81st minute on a deflected Flyer clearance.
• Henderson scored her first collegiate goal in the 96th minute for the win. Senior Sara Robertson's cross into the box set up Henderson's game winner.

UP NEXT
• The Flyers come home to take on Louisville at Baujan Field Thursday, Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. Admission is free. Promotions include schedule posters and thunder sticks for all. Vuvuzelas for the first 25 fans.
•  For students, there is a raffle for a Google Home, as well as Dayton Flyer T-shirts and free food.
