DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team picked up a season-opening sweep over Marshall, 25-19, 25-23, 25-15, in Friday night's second match of the Dayton Invitational. Senior
Lauren Bruns led all attackers with 15 kills.
Dayton starts 2018 1-0 while Marshall falls to 0-1.
KEY STATS
• .583 - Bruns posted a .583 hitting percentage after recording a match-high 15 kills to one error in 24 attempts. She also tallied four blocks
• 7 & 6 - freshman
Amelia Moore had a break-out first game with seven kills to one error in 10 attempts (.600) to go with a match-high six kills.
• 10 & 20 - sophomore
Brooke Westbeld recorded a 20 assist-10 dig double-double
• 12 - Dayton out-killed Marshall 45-33
