LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Dayton volleyball team closed out the weekend with a 3-1 (25-21, 13-25, 27-25, 25-15) win over College of Charleston Saturday afternoon. The two-day Bluegrass Battle was hosted by Kentucky at Memorial Coliseum.

Dayton improves to 4-2 overall while Charleston moves to 2-4 on the season.

KEY STATS
• .481 - Dayton hit a blistering .481 (14-1-27) in the fourth set to close out the 3-1 win
• 17 - senior Lauren Bruns led the Flyers attack with a match-high 17 kills
• .714 - senior Amelia Moore was swinging lights out, posting a .career-best .714 hitting percentage for the match as the second Flyer in double-digit kills (10-0-14)
• 9.5 - the Flyers out-blocked the Cougars, 9.5 to 6.0
• 13 - senior Margo Wolf was the game's leading passer with a match-high 13 digs

NOTABLE
Sophomore Brooke Westbeld is a woman of all trades - she recorded 29 assists, eight digs, six kills, two service aces and two blocks for UD in the win Saturday.

Dayton will host Miami (Ohio) for a mid-week match-up on Tuesday, Sept. 4. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at Frericks Center and admission is free.
