DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to Xavier Thursday night at Baujan Field to close out non-conference play. 
Dayton falls to 4-3-1, while the Musketeers are now 5-4-0.  
KEY STATS
• The shots were fairly even with Xavier holding a 14-12 advantage, but the Musketeers had nine on goal, to just two on goal by the Flyers. Xavier had 10 fouls, while Dayton had eight. 
• The Flyers dominated on corner kicks, 7-3. 
• The Flyers started three freshmen in the match. 
• 
Kaelyn Johns had seven saves in goal for the Flyers.
KEY MOMENTS
• Xavier scored early in the second half. Samantha Dewey scored her team-leading third goal of the season on a pass from Sydney Schembri. Dewey shot from the top of the box across the goal in the 49th minute. 
• The Flyers scored their third own goal of the season with just three seconds left in regulation to give the Musketeers the 2-0 edge very late in the match.
