FAIRFAX, Va. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to George Mason on the road to open Atlantic 10 play.

Dayton falls to 4-4-1 overall and 0-1-0 in the A-10, while the Patriots improve to 6-3-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the A-10.  

KEY STATS
• Mason dominated in the first half, with eight shots to Dayton's 3. The Patriots finished with 14 shots, including eight shots on goal. 
• George Mason also had four corner kicks in the first half, while both squads had one each in the second half. 
• Kaelyn Johns had six saves in goal for the Flyers and reached a career milestone of 300 career saves (she currently has 304 saves).

KEY MOMENTS
• George Mason scored early in the sixth minute. 
• Senior Nadia Pestell scored her first collegiate goal to tie it in the 38th minute. Micayla Livingston and Morgan Henderson were credited with assists.
• The game-winning goal for the Patriots came in the 53rd minute on a PK.
