SOUTH BEND, Ind.  – The University of Dayton men's cross country team finished as runners up at the 2018 National Catholic Invitational Friday on the campus of Notre Dame.

The Flyers had three runners in the top 10, but the hosts had five to take the team title.

Dayton won the event last season and had high hopes entering the meet after winning the first competition of the season at the Queen City Invitational.
