NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Dayton women's cross country team were runners-up at the 2018 National Catholic Invitational Friday in the NCAA Division I race with four Top 25 finishers. The hosts, nationally ranked No. 23 Notre Dame, won.
 
Senior Taylor Vernot was Dayton's top finisher with a time of 17:39.82, crossing the finish line in fifth of 203 runners. She missed a PR by less than a second.
 
Emily Borchers was seventh in 17:52.53 and sophomore Kelly Wilker set a new PR with her time of 18:30.82, which is ranked No. 25 all-time at UD. Allison Triskett was 25th in a time of 18:39.7.

Sophomore Carlee Constable (28th in 18:52.05) and freshman Maddie Loughery (33rd in 19:08.72) both had PRs in the race.
