CEDARVILLE, Ohio  – The University of Dayton men's cross country team finished up the weekend with a second place showing at the Friendship Invitational Saturday among Division I teams.

The Flyers were led by a talented young squad in the third meet of the season and had seven personal records.

COACH'S COMMENTS
"The men's team had a very competitive finish led by freshman Kyle Vernot and senior Jordan Koczenasz," said head coach Jason Ordway. "This meet is one of the criteria to determine who races in the varsity versus open section in two weeks at Notre Dame so everyone was competing as a team but also as individuals to fight for the top spots. I think we got a much better view of where we are at right now and what we need to do to get where we want to be by the end of the season. We're excited to put in a few more weeks of work and to get another opportunity to race."
