DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team (3-2-0) will host Akron (2-2-1) this Friday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. and Florida Gulf Coast (4-0-0) this Sunday, Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. Both matches will be at Baujan Field. Everyone is encouraged to wear red to the Friday match vs. Akron for a Red Out!
• Admission is free.
• The matches will be broadcast on ESPN+. UD students Daniel Nersesian, Ian Evans, and Lexi Mangano will be on the call for the Akron match and Alex Mikos and Ian Richardson will be on the call for the FGCU match.
• Promotions include team posters and thunder sticks for the first 100 fans.
• Dayton Flyer vuvuzelas for the first 25 fans.
• The team will sign autographs after the matches.
THE SERIES
• Dayton is 1-0-0 vs. Akron. The Flyers defeated the Zips 3-2 on the road last season, Sept. 8, 2017.
Micayla Livingston scored a goal,
Keagin Collie notched two assists, and
Nadia Pestell had one assist in that match.
• Dayton is 0-1-0 vs. FGCU. The only meeting was a 2-0 setback for UD on Aug. 23, 2015 in Fort Myers, Fla.
Kaelyn Johns had seven saves in the match.

• All of Dayton's goals this season have come in the second half or in OT; the earliest was sophomore
Kara Camarco's first collegiate goal to tie up the match vs. Eastern Michigan in the 64th minute.

Eric Golz is in his second season at the helm of the Flyers. He previously served as an assistant at UD in 2011.
SCOUTING AKRON
• Akron is 2-2-2 overall and is coming off a 6-0 win over Youngstown State. Sydney Worthy scored three of those goals and went on to be named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
• Eight different Zips have scored this season, led by Worthy's three goals.
• Akron has played three different goalkeepers with Erin McKinney leading the way with 245 minute and 12 saves. Bella Henderson has six saves in 195 minutes.
SCOUTING FLORIDA GULF COAST
• Florida Gulf Coast is 4-0-0 and is currently receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
• The Eagles face Ohio State Friday, prior to taking on the Flyers Sunday.
• FGCU has outscored opponents 13-4. Evdokia Popadinova and Holly Fritz have each scored four times to lead FGCU in goals.
• Melissa Weck has played all 360 minutes in goal and has 13 saves and a 1.00 GAA.
WEEK 3 RESULTS
• The Flyers lost a tough match, 1-0, to No. 25 Butler on Thursday, Aug. 30 at Baujan Field. The lone goal was an own goal. The Bulldogs are currently ranked No. 22 in the nation.
WEEK 2 RESULTS
• The Flyers lost a tough match to Louisville Thursday, Aug. 23, falling 1-0 with an own goal the only tally in the match.
• Dayton had a 3-1 win over Eastern Michigan Sunday, Aug. 26. After being down 1-0 in the first half, the Flyers tallied three goals in a matter of 12 minutes: sophomore
Kara Camarco in the 64th, and
Micayla Livingston with two goals (74th and 76th minutes).
Kaelyn Johns had seven saves in the win.

• UD senior goalkeeper
Kaelyn Johns is ranked 10th in the nation in career saves (284) amongst current goalkeepers.
• Johns is ranked sixth in the nation in career minutes played (5,985.17).
FLYERS RANKED NO. 9
Dayton is ranked No. 9 in the United Soccer Coaches' Week Three East Regional Poll, The Flyers were previously ranked No. 6 in the last two polls.
BELIEVIN' IN BAUJAN
• The Flyers are 224-68-22 all-time in games played n their home field, Baujan Field. In the last six years, Dayton is 68-16-7 at home.
FLYERS WIN JMU INVITATIONAL
• The Dayton women's soccer team was the only team to go 2-0-0 at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott JMU Invitational (Aug. 16 &19).
• Two freshmen scored in Dayton's 2-1 come-from-behind win over the host James Madison Thursday, Aug. 16.
Hannah Osland scored UD's first goal of 2018 in the 80th minute and
Izzy Greene had the game-winner in the 89th minute. It was her first-ever collegiate shot, resulting in her first goal.

Morgan Henderson scored the golden goal in the 96th minute on an assist from
Sara Robertson. It marked Henderson's first collegiate goal.
GREENE EARNS A-10 HONOR
•
Izzy Greene was named the first Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week for the 2018 season. The award is for games played Aug. 16-19.
• Greene scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute to give the Flyers a come-from-behind victory on the road over James Madison in the JMU Fairfield by Marriott Invitational. It was her first collegiate shot which resulted in her first collegiate goal.
• The Lyndhurst, Ohio product also had a game-high two shots in Dayton's 2-1 OT win over William & Mary as the Flyers won the weekend tournament.
HOME SWEET HOME
• Dayton has 10 home matches on its home Baujan Field this season.
• Baujan Field will be the site of the 2018 Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Championship semifinals on Nov. 2 and the final on Nov. 4.
FLYERS PICKED 7TH IN A-10 POLL
• The Dayton women's soccer team was selected to finish seventh in the 2018 Atlantic 10 standings in a vote by the league's 14 head coaches.

• The Flyers have made 10 NCAA Tournament appearances in program history: 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, and 2016. UD advanced to the second round in both 2009 and 2010 and to the Sweet Sixteen in 2001. The Flyers lost 3-2 to No. 24 Ohio State in the NCAA First Round in Columbus in 2016.
