AKRON, Ohio – The University of Dayton men's golf team finished strong at the Firestone Invitational. The Flyers finished in 7
th place with a score of 298 + 291 + 293 = 881 (+17). The Flyers were led by
Kyle Schmidt, who shot a 71 + 74 + 74 (+3) on the tournament. The highlight was multiple Eagles by the Flyers on the day. Both
Blake Solomon and
Hayden Zimmerer were able to shoot an Eagle on Par 5's on the day.
The 54-hole event was held on the North Course at Firestone Country Club. The course was played at par 72 and 7,125 yards.
South Carolina- Aiken won the tournament with a score of 285 + 281 + 291 (-7).
