DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team returns home to host Duquesne in an important Atlantic 10 conference match Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Baujan Field.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
The Flyers enter the week with an 8-7 record overall and a 3-2 A-10 mark. Dayton is on a three-game winning streak and is 6-1 at home this season.
Head coach
Dennis Currier is in his 15th season at the helm of the Flyers, totaling 147 victories, the most in UD history. He leads a veteran squad this season with seven seniors and 10 returning starters.
Overall, Dayton is leading the A-10 in scoring offense with 2.13 goals per game and allowing just 1.33 to opponents. The Flyers also lead the league in goals, points, and assists.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
DUQUESNE
Duquesne comes to Dayton with an 8-5-1 record this season and a 3-2 A-10 mark as well. The Dukes are on a two-game losing streak and are 2-4 on the road this year. Head coach Chase Brooks is in his seventh season at Duquesne and a former UD assistant coach.
As a team, the Dukes are scoring 1.43 goals each outing while giving up 1.00 to opposing teams. Duquesne is being outshot 14.1 to 12.5, but shooting at a higher percentage.
The Dukes are led by Manel Busquets and his seven goals, four assists on the year. Jack Shearer has chipped in five goals while Nate Dragisich has five assists. Goalkeeper Robbie McKelvey has 59 saves and four shutouts.
THE SERIES
Dayton and Duquesne have played 20 times previously with the Flyers winning 12 times and the Dukes winning seven contests. The last meeting in 2017 saw UD victorious on the road, 1-0.
LAST OUTING
Dayton went on the road and handed A-10 leaders Saint Louis its first conference loss with a 2-1 decision. Fjeldberg scored the game-winning goal while
Kingsford Adjei chipped in the other goal.
Duquesne suffered a 2-1 double overtime loss at home against Massachusetts Saturday. The Minutemen scored the decisive goal in the 106th minute.

Junior midfielder
Jonas Fjeldberg set a new school record with five assists in the 6-2 victory over St. Bonaventure on Oct. 12.
FLYERS SWEEP A-10 WEEKLY AWARDS
Dayton swept all three A-10 honors on Oct. 21.
Jonas Fjeldberg was named A-10 Offensive Player of the Week,
Xavier Zengue was named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week, and
Toluwalase Oladeinbo was named A-10 Rookie of the Week.
