DAYTON -- The University of Dayton women's soccer team defeated Fordham by a score of 3-0 on Thursday evening at Baujan Field. The Flyers improve to 7-7-3 overall and 5-2-2 in Atlantic 10 play, while the Rams fall to 4-10-4 this year with a 3-4-2 mark in league play.
Jordan Pauley scored in the ninth minute of the game on a penalty kick to put the Flyers ahead 1-0 early, then just over the halfway mark of the first half, Pauley doubled the lead with another goal off a free kick.
Landy Mertz capped off the scoring in the 74th minute after putting an assist from
Caroline Mink into the back of the net.
