PHILADELPHIA – The University of Dayton women's soccer team held a 2-0 lead at halftime, but La Salle scored three unanswered goals in the second half to claim a 3-2 victory in their final Atlantic 10 regular season match of the 2019 season.

The Flyers are now 7-8-3 overall and 5-3-2 in Atlantic 10 Conference play. The Explorers improve to 10-7-1 overall and 6-4-0 in conference matches. Both squads have secured a berth in the 2019 A-10 Women's Soccer Championship.
 
KEY STATS
•   The Flyers dominated the first half, taking a 2-0 lead and only allowing La Salle five shots, including just one on goal. Dayton had five shots in the first half, including three on goal, but only one shot on goal in the second half.
•   La Salle finished the match with 15 shots, including six on goal. The Explorers had 16 fouls to UD's nine.

KEY MOMENTS
• The Flyers scored twice within the first 5:20 of the match to take a 2-0 lead. Freshman Laney Huber scored in the third minute (2:04) and fellow freshman Alexis Goins scored in the sixth minute (5:20) with an assist from sophomore Lexy Kidd.
• The Explorers cut the lead to 2-1 in the 49th minute.
• Back-to-back goals by Maci Bower in the 70th and 75th minutes secured the win for La Salle.

UP NEXT
•  Dayton awaits the seeding for the 2019 A-10 Women's Soccer Championship. With today's win, La Salle jumped Dayton for fourth place in the A-10 standings and the opportunity to host. The Flyers are fifth in the A-10 so will play at La Salle in the quarterfinals. Official seeding will be announced Monday following a postponed match between Fordham and Davidson.
