DAYTON - The University of Dayton volleyball team will be stepping out of Atlantic 10 Conference action this week with a match-up at Cincinnati on Wednesday. First serve between the Flyers and Bearcats is set for 7 p.m. Oct. 30 at UC's newly renovated Fifth Third Arena and admission is free.

Dayton (16-6, 9-0 A-10), currently enjoying a 10-match winning streak, has won 24-consecutive sets heading into Wednesday's non-conference match at Cincinnati. UD is one of two teams that remain unbeaten in Atlantic 10 conference play. The Flyers' offense is led by five-time A-10 Player of the Week sophomore

Scouting Cincinnati
Cincinnati (17-5, 9-1 ACC) has won eight of its last nine matches and is tied for first place in the American East standings. The Bearcats' Jordan Thompson, current AAC Player of the Week, leads all of Division I with 6.24 kills/set and 6.92 points/set while also leading the team with 0.45 aces/set. Armania Heckenmueller is the team's primary setter with 11.78 assists/set and Mackenzie Conner passes a team-best 3.42 digs/set.
Series Stuff
Dayton leads, 25-24
In a series that dates back to 1970, Dayton narrowing holds an advantage over its regional rival Cincinnati. The Bearcats one the last match-up between the two, 3-2, at the Flyers' Frericks Center on Oct. 17, 2018. Dayton has won four of the last five meetings in the series.
RPI Rankings
In the NCAA's most recent Rating Percentage Index (RPI), released Oct. 28, Dayton ranked 52nd according to NCAA.com. Cincinnati came in at 33rd.
