Volleyball Bests La Salle, 3-1, On The Strength Of 16.0 Team Blocks

Junior Olivia Dubay Led The Flyer Block With Career-High Nine Stuffs

PHILADELPHIA - The University of Dayton volleyball team moved to 11-0 in Atlantic 10 matches with its 3-1 (25-21, 25-27, 25-12, 25-16) over La Salle Friday night. Junior Olivia Dubay led the Flyers with a career-high nine blocks.

Dayton improves to 18-7 on the season and is one of two remaining unbeaten teams in league action (11-0). La Salle moves to an even 12-12 overall and 6-6 in A-10 matches.

KEY STATS
• 16.0 - as a team, the Flyers recorded 16.0 blocks led by Dubay with nine assisted blocks
• 16 - sophomore Jamie Peterson tallied a match-high 16 kills to go with six digs, five blocks and three assists
• 22 - sophomore Maura Collins passed a match-high 22 digs
• 18 - sophomore Josie Vondran posted a team-high 18 assists to go with seven kills, a career-high six blocks and four digs

UP NEXT
Dayton will travel across the state of Pennsylvania for its Saturday night match at Duquesne on Nov. 9. The Flyers and Dukes are set to square off at 7:30 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon High School - Duquesne's home site for volleyball this season while its Palumbo Center is being renovated.
