PITTSBURGH - The University of Dayton volleyball team posted a straight-set sweep of Duquesne, 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-19), Saturday night at Mt. Lebanon High School. Sophomore 
Jamie Peterson tallied a match-high 16 kills to lead the Flyers' offense.
Dayton improves to 19-7 on the season and 12-0 in Atlantic 10 matches. Duquesne moves to 10-6 overall and 4-9 in league action.
KEY STATS
• .356 - as a team, Dayton posted a .356 hitting percentage, its best in Atlantic 10 matches this season
• 21 - sophomore 
Josie Vondran set a match-high 21 assists to go with two service aces and two kills
• 16 - Peterson posted 16 kills to lead all attackers to go with six digs, three blocks and a .306 hitting percentage
• 9 - freshman 
Amelia Moore was the team's second-leading attacker with nine kills while swinging at a blistering .615
UP NEXT
Dayton will close out the 2019 regular season at home next weekend. On Friday, Nov. 15, UD will play host to Davidson at 7 p.m. followed by a 1 p.m. match-up against VCU on Sunday, Nov. 17. Prior to Sunday's match, Dayton will recognize the senior team members for Senior Day.
