DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team is heading to Tennessee this weekend for the Chattanooga Challenge Feb. 15-17. During the three-day event, Dayton will match-up against Indiana State, Kennesaw State, Tennessee Tech, Toledo and host Chattanooga. Live stats will be available for all five of the Flyers' games, which will be held at Jim Frost Stadium in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Freshman infielder
Megan Gist was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Monday as announced by the league office. Gist, a native of Modesto, California, posted a .333 batting average and a .556 slugging percentage during the first weekend of the 2019 season. She was 1-for-1, her first career double, with one RBI and one walk with three putouts and two assists in Dayton's five-inning win over Eastern Shore. Gist also tallied two RBI to go with one putout and four assists against South Dakota on Feb. 8.
