Athens, Ga. -- The University of Dayton baseball team dropped a pair of games to No. 9 Georgia on Saturday in Athens. The Flyers and Bulldogs both compiled 11 hits in game one of the doubleheader, but UGA took the game by a score of 10-7. Four Flyers had multi-hit games, including
Mitchell Garrity,
Michael Cleary,
Eddie Pursinger and
Riley Tirotta. Pursinger hit a solo home run to open the fourth inning for the Flyers.
Georgia had a seven-run fourth inning in the series finale to jump out to an 8-0 lead, which was enough for the Bulldogs to win 13-1 in game three.
Jay Curtis went 2-for-2 at the plate and was responsible for Dayton's run driven in.
