INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The University of Dayton women's tennis team dropped a match to IUPUI on Saturday afternoon by a score of 7-0 in Indianapolis. The Flyers (1-3) were searching for their second consecutive win after defeating Saint Francis (Pa.), 5-2, on Friday evening, while the Jaguars improve to 2-4 on the season.

Despite the shutout on the scoreboard, Dayton actually pushed three courts in singles play the distance. Emily Zargham, Kelly Pleiman, and Mary Brascia each started strong by winning their opening sets, but ultimately couldn't hold and eventually dropped the match in three sets on courts two, three and six, respectively.

Brascia and Kristina Benjamin also put up a strong fight in doubles play at the No. 3 spot in the lineup before falling by a 6-4 margin to Samantha Hayward and Mariella Pessina.

The Flyers will be on the road once again for their next match, a Feb. 16 matchup at Northern Kentucky, which will begin at 5:00 p.m. (ET). Look below for full results from today's match:
