Pinehurst, N.C. – On the backs of solid third round play by
Domenic Maricocchi and
Jake Gilkison, the Flyers fought back and finished in fourth place at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate. The Flyers, led by Maricocchi and Gilkison, shot an impressive 293 (+9) on the day. Gilkison shot a team best 68 (-3) in the third round.
Domenic Maricocchi finished the third round with a 70 (-1). The team finished the tournament with a score of 893 (+41).
The 54-hole event is being held at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The team is playing on the Pinehurst No. 8 course. This course is considered one of the crown jewels of courses in the United States and will play host to the U.S. Championship in 2024.
Davidson College is currently in First Place with a team score of 859 (+7). Clayton Tribus from Davidson College finished in the individual first place spot with a score of 210 (-3).

Domenic Maricocchi led the field on Par 5 scores. He averaged 4.53 strokes per Par 5 and finished four under (-4) on Par 5s.
UP NEXT
The Flyers have a couple weeks off before they head east to the Penn State Rutherford Intercollegiate. The event will be held April 13
th and 14
th in University Park, Pennsylvania at the Penn State Golf Course.
